Happy Birthday Fil!
It's a little belated, but I wanted to take note of Fil's birthday on Sunday. Fil is a first-rate music blogger, a good e-friend and an all around gentlemen. If you haven't done so already, please drop by his site and send your birthday wishes.
In honour of Fil's birthday, since he's a music blogger, here's a few (tongue in cheek) tunes:
The Pogues - Worms
The Who - My Generation
Elvis Costello - Big Boys
Talking Heads - Once in a Lifetime
Iggy Pop - Lust for Life
So, those are pretty weird as birthday songs go. The discussion question for today is: what's the weirdest thing you've seen at a birthday party?

Our birthday parties were always just with the immediate family and were very boring.
One year my Dad did forget to pick up ice cream though. Which was weird..
He did go get some later though so the party was saved.. - At 5:32 p.m., Bathroom Hippo said...

Oh Mentok, you are very kind. My old heart is flattered.
The tunes may have been posted with tongue-in-cheek, but they are, to borrow a phrase, first-rate.
As for weirdest thing seen, hmm... Oh, it would have to be the balloon trick at my friend T's birthday some eight years ago or so. About a dozen of us were in a London restaurant when (let's call her) Linda tid two helium balloons to her spaghetti-strap halter top, then untied the straps from around the back of her neck. Result: her modesty was maintained only by the two balloons floating in the air and holding up the front of her dress. Most impressive!
And Dearest Hippo, many thanks for your wishes. Much appreciated!
