Contrast Podcast

I'm wickedly sick today, but still happy because I got a contribution in with Contrast Podcast.

The theme this week is Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy.

I went retro and contributed the Eurhythmics' 1984 hit Right By Your Side, off of a raggedy old party mix tape that I'm pleased to say I still own.

As always at CP, there are lots of great tunes, so give 'er a listen.

Rachel - thanks for the CP praise and for the sickness wishes. I'm afraid it's one of those wicked colds that only seems to get better by degrees

FiL - my high-fallutin' explanation for the mind-taking phenomenon you observed comes down to karmic interconnection combined with the Heisenburg Principle...

...in other words, I practised the intro so many times that I may have subconsciously modified how I talk to sound like what I thought people expected me to sound like.

But that is starting to sound like one of those time-travel paradox scenarios and its making my head hurt.

Anyway, what I found funny is how both of us did a riff about quirky instruments - you about the ukelele, me about steel drums.

I haven't had time yet to listen to the whole CP, but I fast-forwarded to yours and I am suitably impressed.

The whole concept of this week's CP is great, because, if I'm any indication, I bet it's making every listener think of their own happy music.
